From: rlarosa331@aol.com Subject: Minutes Dec 2, 2009 Looked like 22 people: members and guests. Marty Kanner was thanked for supplying great refreshments and for agreeing to do it in the future. Marty Kanner (same guy) was thanked for keeping track of and submitting our membership records to the Section. Irwin Weitman was thanked for obtaining CEU accreditation for some of our meetings. Dave Rost was thanked for his hard work as Treasurer. He reported that we have enough money in the Treasury to pay for some advertizing to benefit our members. Peter Buitenlkant was thanked for recruiting referral service volunteers. We all thanked Jerry Brown for serving as Chairman and for accepting the nomination for yet another year. Thanks to John Dunn for taking care of meeting notices and publicity. Telephone volunteers: December - John Dunn January - Larry Rachman February - Len Anderson Election of officers for 2010 by acclamation: Chairman - Jerry Brown First Vice Chairman - Peter Buitenkant Second Vice Chairman - Chris Early Treasurer - Dave Rost Secretary - Dick LaRosa We tried to formalize our understanding that consultants who received business through the LICN Referral Service or through the Directory should pay to LICN 2% of the earned income up to a maximum payment of $500. I was supposed to write this down and proclaim it, but then we came up with questions like was this per client, or one time only (per year?), and I think Peter agreed to produce a written formalization for consideration. Have I got this right? My notes say that at our January meeting Gerry Bodner will give a talk about Software Patentability. Other talks are planned on DFT 101 and Product Liability. Then we started the planned discussion about PCs, most of which went over my head. But I learned that Ctrl-Alt-Delete might get you past a user log-in obstacle. Or whatever. Submitted with apologies, Dick LaRosa
